In an interview with Harun Elcuman, Member of the Board of Directors at ELC Aluminum, he emphasized the rapid and decisive progress of their relatively young brand in the industry. Could we start our interview by getting to know you?
I was born in Kayseri in 1991. I graduated from Istanbul Kültür University with a degree in English Industrial Engineering and from Anadolu University’s Faculty of Business Administration. I began my career as an Assistant Production Manager in our family business, which has been active in the metal sector for over 40 years. In May 2016, I realized my long-held dream of aluminum extrusion profile production by founding ELC Aluminum Inc.
What are the pioneering distinctions that set your company apart from other brands in terms of its operations and competitive positioning?
ELC Aluminum, as a relatively new entity in the industry, is making rapid and assured progress within its sector. We are committed to ongoing investments in both machinery and personnel, which are vital to ensuring customer satisfaction. Our foremost objective is to deliver services to our clients with optimal cost-efficiency and maximum effectiveness for all requested designs and projects.
What products and solution alternatives do you offer to your clients?
In addition to standard profile requests, we provide services across various sectors including construction, solar energy, automotive, heating and cooling industries, household appliances, steel doors, furniture, and more. We also accommodate all requests for custom-made products and semi-finished goods tailored for specialized applications.
Could you provide information about your production capacity?
Our current machinery includes 5” and 6” presses, which collectively offer an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons of aluminum profiles. Our anodizing facility operates with an annual capacity of 2,800 tons. We are capable of fulfilling an annual demand of 1,200 tons for powder-coated profiles through our electrostatic powder coating plant. We also provide polishing and satin finishing services. Additionally, our mechanical processing facility allows us to perform various operations on profiles, ensuring that products are processed to meet specific requirements and are ready for direct assembly.
Could you provide information about your planned or ongoing investments?
We are currently conducting feasibility studies for the addition of an 8” press line to our production facilities. Our new anodizing plant, which we have commenced investing in, will be capable of handling annual demands for 12,000 tons and profiles up to 8,500 mm in length. This facility will also accommodate requests for yellow anodizing and inorganic anodizing. Additionally, we are progressing with our investment in an electrostatic powder coating plant, which will enable us to meet demands for profiles up to 8,000 mm in length. We also plan to expand our mechanical processing workshop with new machining centers.

Our foremost objective is to address the demand gap for high-quality industrial profiles in aluminum, a material that is rapidly expanding in application areas and gaining preference. Additionally, we remain committed to preserving our sensitivity towards people and the environment, and aim to contribute to the national economy through the added value of our finished and semi-finished products.
