ELC Aluminium Aims to Increase Capacity Through Upcoming Investments

KAYSERİ – ELC Aluminium, which produces both standard aluminum profiles and custom-made products and semi-finished goods according to demand, plans to increase its capacity.
Harun Elcuman, a Member of the Board of Directors at ELC Aluminium, stated, “Like in 2016, we are focusing on investments this year as well. However, this year we have concentrated more on investments related to the mechanical processing department. Our investments will continue in line with our customers' needs, focusing on efficiency and savings. We plan to commission our anodizing facility, which is currently under construction and has a monthly capacity of 1,200 tons, within 2018. With the investments we will make in 2018, we aim to increase our capacity by 100%.
Recalling that ELC Aluminium was established in 2016 in Kayseri OSB, Harun Elcuman reported that the company operates on a total area of 35,000 square meters, with 15,000 square meters covered, and employs 100 personnel. Elcuman mentioned that with the 5-inch and 6-inch presses in the current machinery park, the company has an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons of aluminum profiles. He also noted that their existing anodizing facility operates with an annual capacity of 2,800 tons and that their electrostatic powder coating plant meets an annual demand of 1,200 tons for coated profiles.
He plans to expand the product range with the new facility.
Harun Elcuman stated that they provide high-quality solutions with polishing and satin finishing units. He noted that, as ELC Aluminum, they conduct design and product development work in accordance with high-quality standards and principles of applicability, guided by their expert technical team, to meet their customers' expectations and needs. Elcuman highlighted that they address not only standard and custom-designed profile requirements but also demands for products with precise tolerances and mechanical processing, as well as finished and semi-finished goods. He added, “We operate with ISO 18001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 quality standards. We plan to expand our product range with the new production lines and facilities that we will soon be commissioning.”
Despite being a newly established company, Harun Elcuman pointed out that ELC Aluminum has already made some exports to European countries. He stated that the company aims to become export-focused in 2018 and plans to increase the current export share, which is 20% of total sales, to 60% in the medium term. Regarding their research and development (R&D) efforts, Elcuman explained, “R&D is an industry necessity and an indispensable component of the sector. We allocate approximately $100,000 to our R&D unit, and this amount will naturally increase as we serve different sectors. We have conducted significant R&D work related to solar energy systems, furniture, and joinery sectors. We are receiving positive feedback from our customers regarding our designs and products.”
